Four matches in the EPL today and none of them are exactly what I would call interesting. The match of potential interest to American fans is the Man City/Bolton match. Of course with Stuart Holden once again not in the 18 for the match, there really isn’t much there unless you are a supporter of one of the clubs. Is Holden still hurt? How much is he training? Was this a really bad decision for Holden in a World Cup year? There are many questions surrounding this story that we honestly can’t answer. Holden himself has been very quiet and there’s been nothing coming from Bolton either. It is important to note that Jack Wilshire, on loan from Arsenal (and a similiar style of player to Holden) is starting today’s match. It’s too early to form a reasonable opinion about Holden joining Bolton but things are clearly not off to a good start for the young USMNT midfielder.
