I Love Xabi Alonso

He may play for Liverpool (for now), but Mr. Alonso has found a place in my footy heart after his comments concerning those vuvuzeling vuvuzelas at the Confederations Cup in South Africa…from The Guardian’s daily football email, the Fiver:

Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso has bravely sounded a clarion call for the instruments to be outlawed. “They make a terrible noise and it’s not a good idea to have them on sale outside the grounds, Here’s a piece of advice for Fifa – try to ban them.”

Xabi, i love you…in an entirely heterosexual/platonic way…and apparently Xabi is a ninja too…and as a sidenote, this is no way affects my man crush on Ben Olsen.

See, it’s not just fans that are getting fed up with those lousy lepatatas, the molded monstrosities, these insufferable instruments. Join the movement! Turn vuvuzelas into a curse word! Ban the damn things! Whatever it takes to stop that awful buzzing sound!

The introduction of the quartz designer watches in 1969 was a revolutionary improvement in Bell & Ross watches technology. The higher Q factor of the resonator, along with quartz's low temperature coefficient, resulted in better accuracy than the best mechanical Breitling watches, while the elimination of all moving parts made the watch more shock-resistant and eliminated the need for periodic cleaning.
