Evidence Cohen Involved in Writing of the Fund Raiser Page Text

I’ve received a screen shot of a deleted comment on the The Fundable.com Help World Soccer Daily Page that has Nick Iannone apparently admitting that Steven Cohen wrote the first two edits of the text seen on the fund raising page.

Here once again in the text that Nick Iannone claims in the comment below Steven Cohen wrote:

We are the only football show in America, that we expressed an opinion and that people (Liverpool supporters group and Liverpool Football Club) have decided that they have the right to suppress freedom of expression, intimidate and bully 3rd party companies and suppress our ability to make a living.

It is time for the listeners of World Soccer Daily to start fighting back with their wallets and pocket books…if you value World Soccer Daily and the 7 years it has been on the air then it is time to fight back.

This is the United States of American and if these people were operating out of the Middle Easy we would call them terrorist…lets show them that we are not effected or intimidated by a bunch of thugs who are behaving like the Taliban.

This was posted in a comment thread on the WSD fund raiser page by niannonewsd on 06/02/09 at 7:11pm:

Sorry, I thought I did answer it, I attempted to post a response to someone asking me this, I guess it might not have gone through. Steven wrote both versions himself. I can’t take credit for either actually.

Here is the screen shot of the comment:

Are you telling me that Cohen is a liar???? I just cannot bring myself to face a world in which Steven Cohen's word should not be taken at face value.

Well, I would think Cohen might. Again exposed as a liar. And also the Liverpool guys in New York – looks like they might have been right all along.

I'm not a Liverpool fan, hate them actually, and I really despsied what the NY fan club was doing to Cohen. But the more I see of both of them, the more respect I have for the NYers and the more I think Cohen is a complete a**hole. A huge one.

    A liar? yes indeed.
    A fraudster? yes indeed.
A disgrace to the jewish community for making up anti-semitic lies? yes indeed.
Lying to his advertisers and claiming his father is a knight of the realm? yes indeed.

I could go on but im far too busy.

    Hate Speech is Never Right
Do you think the hate-speech and anti-semitism directed toward Steven is disgraceful? You can let Mel Abshier and Tom Hicks know how you feel.

Well, if you guys decide to do that, you should all claim to be Liverpool fans (even Del! ), so that the chance of Rome saying something unkind toward that lot is increased. You wouldn't want Lord Mel and his plebes left out…

Lets send out emails as Liverpool fans eh. Where have we heard that one before?

    I've seen it all now.
    Nawls lecturing anyone on morality.
This is the WSD moderator that makes up lies about member to get them banned.
The call for WSD supporters to 'blanket bomb' Mel & T.Hicks with e-mail is Cohen's idea. Nobody elses.

    Nawls?

Is that one of the 'moderators' who don't believe in this "free speech" thing that Steven Cohen fought so hard for in the US Army?

I've been banned at lest three times for disagreeing with what people on there have said.

Not a bad idea, more site traffic and less work. :-)

Looks like Ginge is also a liar. Or a just an incompetent fool. His post regarding the business license for World Soccer Weekly, INC is not the entire story. That is not the company that runs World Soccer Daily. That used to be the company that Cohen and Geber ran. Their new company does not have "soccer" or "football" anywhere in the title, and the business license is not even in Cali. They let the Cali business license lapse because the were licensed in another state. Excellent investigative journalism you schmuck. If you consider yourself a journalist, than you are an embarrassment to us "real" journalists.

Ginge, a liar and incompetent fool? Nah, he's probably forgotten more than you will ever learn about journalism. I mean where they accepting WIC at that christian university in Texas you attended or something ?
Anyway, Cohen's company does not have the words 'soccer' or football in its title then hey?
Well as he's accepting payment to
'World Soccer Weekly Inc' from his sponsors and you tell us that does not exist, my tenacious friend down at the IRS, will love to know why this is the case.

    Great journalism Brent.

I'm just curious Brent, what is your area of coverage as a "real" journalist? I googled your name and all I get are articles for a school newspaper. Is this why you don't know the difference between being a journalist and running a blog?

Also, Ginge has actually done more credible investigating into this issue than the very lazy Jack Bell at the NY Times, who wrote a terribly one-sided piece a while back that was clearly fed to him by Cohen's PR team.

BTW, I've been in the news business for 18 years and never once used the "I'm a real journalist" line. If you have to say it, then you aren't. Your work would speak for itself.
